Chateau La Tour de Mons acquired by the Perrodo family

The Perrodo family have purchased Château La Tour de Mons in Margaux from Crédit Agricole Grands Crus.

Château La Tour de Mons has 48 hectares of vines situated in a single block in the commune of Soussans and was classified as a Cru Bourgeois in the orignial classification of 1936. The estate was purchased by Credit Agricole and the Caisse de Depot et de Placement de Québec in 1995. CA Grand Crus took over full control of the estate in 2015.

The Perrodo family already own third growth estate Château Marquis d’Alesme Becker (15 ha, purchased in 2006) and Château Labégorce (70 ha, purchased in 1989), both of which are located in the Margaux appellation. They are one of the wealthiest families in France, having made their fortune in the oil industry through their company Perenco.
