Chateau Dauzac sold to Roulleau family

The Margaux fifth growth Chateau Dauzac has been sold to Christian Roulleau, co-founder of SAMSIC, the French facilities management group.

Chateau Dauzac has been owned by the French insurer MAIF since 1988. The estate, situated at the southern end of the Margaux appellation, comprises 120 hectares in total, including 49 hectares of vines situated in a single block next to the chateau. Vignobles Andre Lurton held a 42% stake in Chateau Dauzac between 1992 and 2014, when they sold it to MAIF. The estate was managed by Christine Lurton-Bazin until 2013 when the current General Manager, Laurent Fortin, took over.
