Creation of new Pomerol estate - November 2021

Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to an international investor in relation to the creation of a new estate in Pomerol. The project involved dual acquisitions of a parcel of vines and a nearby house and cellars, as well as assembling a team of advisors and contractors to assist in the future operation of the estate.
Acquisition of Château Magdeleine Bouhou, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux - January 2021
Client: Andrew Eakin and Naomi Murtagh, Château Puynard
Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Andrew Eakin and Naomi Murtagh in relation to the acquisition of Château Magdeleine Bouhou in Cars. The estate covers 18 hectares, including approximately 16 hectares of vineyards situated in the Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux appellation, which are currently in conversion to organic viticulture.
Vineyard Intelligence advised the buyers on their 2016 purchase of Château Puynard, situated nearby in the village of Berson.
Acquisition of Château Haut-Brisson, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru - September 2019
Client: Stéphane Schinazi
Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Stéphane Schinazi in relation to the acquisition of Château Haut-Brisson in Saint-Emilion. The estate has 18 hectares of vines situated in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, producing highly acclaimed wines distributed via Bordeaux negociants.
Château Haut-Brisson was previously owned by Peter Kwok, who owns several estates in Saint-Emilion and Pomerol through his company Vignobles K. Stéphane Schinazi has retained Vignobles K to assist in the technical and commercial operation of the estate.
A native of Bordeaux, Stéphane Schinazi is a successful entrepreneur in the field of technology and one of the leading innovators in the field of the “Internet of Things”.
Acquisition of Château Puybarbe, Côtes de Bourg - December 2018
Client: Anna and Riku Vaananen
Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Anna and Riku Vaananen in relation to the acquisition of Château Puybarbe in the Côtes de Bourg appellation. The estate has 38 hectares of vines situated on predominantly clay and limestone soils around the village of Mombrier, one of the highest points of the appellation.
Acquisition of Château Haut-Beauséjour, Saint-Estèphe - November 2017
Client: Château Laffitte Carcasset / Pierre Rousseau
Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Pierre Rousseau and Château Laffitte Carcasset in relation to the acquisition of Château Haut-Beauséjour, located in Saint-Estèphe. The estate has 10 hectares of vines and was previously owned by the Roederer Champagne house, owners of Château Pichon-Lalande in Pauillac and Château de Pez in Saint-Estèphe.
Pierre Rousseau, president of Rapido Group, a private family-owned business that is one of the leading manufacturers of motorhomes in Europe, acquired Château Laffitte Carcasset earlier this year.

Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Pierre Rousseau in relation to the acquisition of Château Laffitte Carcasset, located in Saint-Estèphe. The estate has been producing wine since 1781 and currently has approximately 30 hectares under vine.
Eden Villages belongs to Pierre Rousseau, president of Rapido Group, a private family-owned business that is one of the leading manufacturers of motorhomes in Europe. This is Pierre Rousseau’s first acquisition in the wine sector.

Acquisition of Château Monbrun, Pomerol - October 2016

Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Martin Krajewski in relation to the acquisition of Château Monbrun in Pomerol. The estate includes approximately two hectares of vines situated and was formerly owned by the Dubois family. Martin Krajewski has renamed the estate Château Seraphine and intends to build a new house and cellars.

Acquisition of Château Puynard, Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux - July 2016

Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Andrew Eakin and the Murtagh family in relation to the acquisition of Château Puynard in AOC Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux. The estate includes a fifteen hectare vineyard surrounding a beautiful 13th century chateau and cellars, which were extensively renovated by the property’s previous owners, Nicolas and Aurelie Gregoire.

Acquisition of Château de La Crée, Santenay - April 2015
Client: Domaine Serene / Ken and Grace Evenstad
Details: Vineyard Intelligence acted as advisor to Domaine Serene in relation to the acquisition of Château de la Crée, situated in the village of Santenay in Burgundy’s Cote d’Or. The estate includes an historic chateau dating from the 15th century, a state-of-the-art gravity-flow winery and 10 hectares of vines on the Cote de Beaune, with parcels in Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay, including several Premier Cru sites.
Domaine Serene is located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Created in 1989 by Ken and Grace Evenstad the estate currently has approximately 100 hectares of vineyards planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and produces a range of award-winning wines: the Dundee Hills Evenstad Reserve Cahrdonnay came #2 in Wine Spectator’s Top Ten of 2016.
