Rolland family sell majority stake in Bordeaux properties to Hong Kong investor

Michel Rolland and his family have sold a majority stake in their Bordeaux properties to the Goldin Group, a Hong Kong financial services and real estate company run by Sutong Pan. The three properties are Chateau le Bon Pasteur in Pomerol (6.62 hectares), Chateau Rolland-Maillet in Saint-Emilion (3.35 hectares) and Chateau Bertineau Saint-Vincent in Lalande de Pomerol (5.5 hectares). It has been reported that the decision to sell the stake was to allow Michel Rolland’s brother, a joint owner of the properties, to realise the value of his shareholding.

Mr Pan already owns Sloan Estate in California, where Michel Rolland is the consultant. Under the terms of the agreement Michel Rolland and the other members of the technical team will continue to run the properties on a day-to-day basis.
