Clos La Madeleine acquired by Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix

Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix has acquired Clos La Madeleine (2.3 hectares), Chateau Magnan La Gaffelière (10.5 hectares) and Chateau Tandonne (1 hectare) in Saint-Emilion.

Clos La Madeleine is situated next to Chateau Bélair-Monange, the Premier Grand Gru Classé estate owned by Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, which was formed through the merger of Chateau Magdelaine, purchased by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1952, and Chateau Bélair, purchased by Christian Moueix in 2008. Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix also own Châteaux Trotanoy, La Fleur-Pétrus, Hosanna, Latour à Pomerol, La Grave, Lafleur-Gazin and Lagrange in Pomerol.

Clos La Madeleine was purchased from the Pistouley family by a group of French investors in 1992. They subsequently purchased and integrated two neighboring properties:  Chateau Vieux Rocher La Madeleine in 2001 and Flouquet Madeleine in 2004.
