Chinese group acquires majority stake in Chateau Trianon

An Enda has acquired a controlling interest in Chateau Trianon in Saint-Emilion from Dominique Hebrard and his business partners, Alain Laguillaumie and Jacques Berrebi. Separately, Marc Castagnet has purchased a minority stake in the property and intends to develop a luxury hotel on the estate with help from architect Yves Collet, who worked on Les Sources de Caudalie hotel and spa in Pessac-Leognan.

Dominique Hebrard acquired Chateau Trianon in December 2000. Today there are ten hectares of vines planted with 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carmenere. Hubert de Bouard has been consulting the property since 2013.

An Enda is CEO and Chairman of Inner Mongolia Jin Sha Yuan Ecological Group Co. and Jin Sha Winery Co. Ltd. in Inner Mongolia. His company, which specialises in horticulture and animal breeding, was founded in 2005 and includes Chateau Kinschab, a 500 hectare estate producing 30,000 tonnes of wine per year.

Marc Castagnet is a French businessman resident in Hong Kong. He has interestes in luxury hotel development, including Villa La Tosca in Arcachon.
